1/27/08 I have to share an amazing website with you! I have been priveldged to receive three different grants from this site, and it is truly a blessing. You simply write a proposal containing information about your school, your classroom, why you want the materials, waht you'll use them for, how many students will benefit, etc. It is not a complicated process at all. Then, you shop online (fill your cart) and anonymous donors read your proposal and fund your item(s). They are sent directly to your school, and you complete a feedback packet. The whole process is so simple, and it has really been helpful. Please check out donorschoose.org (link below)! 9/23/07 Just want to share this awesome problem solving format with you...I began using KWCL this year after first seeing it on Miss Campioni's website. I absolutely love it! It has helped so much with my students being able to explain their thinking when it comes to problem solving. I will use this every year from now on! I have added some printables that go with KWCL, some writing resources, and a couple of literacy center resources. I am currently working on more resources for literacy centers. if you have any that you love (sites for resources, actual resources, etc.) please e-mail me a link. I would LOVE to see them! 9/4/07 We are back to school and getting into the swing of things again! I am currently working on updating and adding to the teacher's section. I've added some writing resources that can be used for Writer's Workshop. These were originally inspired by Amanda Madden's Writer's Workshop binders. I have found them to be very helpful.
